A south central Pennsylvania town with beautiful scenery.
The area is nestled between the Appalachian Front to the west and Dunnings Mountain of the Ridge and Valley Region to the east!
Welcome to the website claysburg.us! We have created a website with an easy name to remember. We are continually having people ask about the town and area's history, old pictures, stories about the area, cooking and recipes. Our allisonfarm.com website is still in tact with cookbook, recipes, life on the farm and family history as well as a detailed Claysburg History, and we invite you to visit it. This new site will focus on activities in the area and history.
Whether you call us rural, scenic, historical or laid back, we love this area. We think that once you experience it, you will love it too!

An 1873 Pomeroy Map of Claysburg, PA
Established in 1804, Claysburg is a mixture of history, family heritage and a progressiveness in business. But we do have a slower pace of life.
Many of us have family ties going back to the settling of the town. Others who recently settled here may take a while to adapt, but once they do, they seem to enjoy it.
We will offer stories and pictures periodically like the one below. Also visit our Claysburg Area History tab for more stories.
Feel free to give us your thoughts, requests and feedback on the next page "About Us" and watch as this site evolves.

Claysburg Area Community Days is Cancelled for 2020
Sadly, we have to announce that the 2020 Claysburg Area Community Days is cancelled. Our committee has been watching the reports from Harrisburg and trying to anticipate the opening of the state to allow for festivals and large group events. That has not happened.
The Claysburg Area Community Days has long been an opportunity for the community to gather at the end of summer, visit with friends, relax, and partake of the food, games, and crafts provided by our vendors. This year there are too many unknowns and restrictions that would keep us from providing a worry-free, healthy, and fun weekend for all. We want an atmosphere where attendees can participate and have a good time.
Many of the community’s non-profit groups depend on the profits from Community Days to fund their activities. Sadly, that will change for this year.
Diana Walter Dively, Director of the Claysburg Little Miss Pageant, is developing a plan to continue the pageant this year. Details will be forthcoming. Because there will not be food or drink at the pageant and the number of people attending can be kept within state guidelines, she feels confident that the pageant can be held.
Thank you for your understanding and plan to join your community at the 2021 Claysburg Area Community Days, the second weekend in August on the 14th and 15th.
We regret to inform that the Musselman's Grove Show - Claysburg, PA scheduled for July 11, 2020 has been cancelled for this year and is rescheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2021.
The Claysburg Hall of Fame Committee is postponing their 7th Annual Hall of Fame induction that was scheduled for Sat., April 4, 2020. We will announce a new date at a later time.
